FAQ's
The program provides grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy systems or to make energy efficiency improvements. Agricultural producers may also apply for new energy efficient equipment.
Small businesses located in eligible rural area that meet the Small Business Administartion size standards for your industry. Agricultural Producers where at least 50 percent of their gross income comes from agricultural operations.

SBA Size Standards
Renewable energy systems (RES) are eligible up to $1,000,000 and cannot exceed 50% of eligible cost. Eligible cost typically include Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Interconnection and any closing cost.
Energy Efficiency Improvements (EEI) are eligible up to $500,000 and cannot exceed 50% of eligible cost. Eligible cost typically include Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Interconnection and any closing cost.
Each applicant and entities that share common management or ownership, regardless of percent owned, either directly or indirectly through another entity or person, have an aggregated funding limit of $500,000 in EEI awards and $1 million in RES awards per Federal Fiscal Year.
To apply for a Reap Grant you must register your entity to do business with the U.S. Government through SAM.Gov.
